Top 5 Items that I Found While Cleaning my Childhood Bedroom
I am, admittedly, a massive hoarder. I think that I’ve kept almost every single item that has ever been in my possession since birth. Next week, though, my childhood home is undergoing a large renovation, which means that I have to go through everything from my room and either throw it away or move it to my basement. Here are my five favorite items that I’ve come across:
A book of “Jewish Sports Legends”, which, unsurprisingly, was a very short read.
This absolutely insane picture of my sister and me at “South of the Border”, a questionable roadside attraction near the border of North Carolina and South Carolina.
A buff from my favorite reality TV show, Survivor, which I am still wearing right now and don’t plan on taking off anytime soon.
A 2008 baseball camp report card that reads “Greenie has to work on his attitude and not get so angry at himself when he makes an error or gets out.” Anyone who has played baseball with me can vouch for the fact that I, in fact, did not work on my attitude and still have this same problem to this day.
My Bar Mitzvah speech, where I relate my Torah portion to 9/11 and the movie ‘I Am Legend’ in back-to-back paragraphs.
Honorable Mention: My 4GB iPod nano, with songs like ‘Tattoo’ by Jordan Sparks and ‘American Idiot’ by Green Day– both of which still slap.
