The Only Thing Worse Than Performing Bad Stand-Up Comedy

Today I did stand-up comedy for the second time in my life. As a result, I have learned that the only thing worse than doing very badly at stand-up comedy is voice recording yourself doing very badly at stand-up comedy. It is particularly bad to voice record yourself doing very bad stand-up comedy because then on your walk home, you will listen to the recording two times and hear yourself bombing over and over again.

On the second time, you’ll even turn the volume all the way up on your phone to see if, maybe, the laughs were just really faint and hard to hear. As it turns out, the laughs were not faint, nor were they existent. Everything, though, is a learning experience, and this particular experience will not prevent me from trying again, although it might stop me from recording myself next time.
