Freaks are everywhere. But in adulthood, we have all signed an unwritten contract to avoid staring at these weirdos so as to not hurt their feelings. Today, though, I said ‘fuck the social norms’ and decided to stare at the freak in Washington Square Park holding and feeding the pigeons. And you know what? It felt pretty great.
This guy was the exact type of weirdo that kids love to stare at. He was yelling profanities, he was missing a few fingers, and, as I said, he was feeding the pigeons, thus causing around 100 of them to gather around him (and on him), as if he were delivering a life changing sermon that only pigeons could understand.
If you’ve got any freaks nearby, I suggest that you disregard societal norms and go stare at them for as long as possible with the youthful curiosity that we once had.
i do this DO children. it makes them cry for some reason
