Today, June 6th, is D-Day. It is the 80th anniversary of the allied invasion of Normandy during World War II, marking the beginning of the end for Nazi occupation of Europe.
The letter ‘D’ in D-Day, some folks don’t know, actually just stands for the word “Day”, which can be sort of confusing. So today I’m going to brainstorm some different names for D-Day that I think are a bit catchier.
Here Goes Nothing Day
Sand In Hitler’s Pants
OMGISSISSWGO (Oh My God I’m So Scared I’m So Scared What’s Going On) Day
Crazy Tuesday! (D-Day fell on a Tuesday)
Taco Tuesday (Where Taco means “The Allies are Comin Over”)
Okay I hope this helps!
The D stands for Dang that there sure is a lotta bullets
