Alternative Names For D-Day

Today, June 6th, is D-Day. It is the 80th anniversary of the allied invasion of Normandy during World War II, marking the beginning of the end for Nazi occupation of Europe. 

The letter ‘D’ in D-Day, some folks don’t know, actually just stands for the word “Day”, which can be sort of confusing. So today I’m going to brainstorm some different names for D-Day that I think are a bit catchier.

1. Here Goes Nothing Day

2. Sand In Hitler’s Pants

3. OMGISSISSWGO (Oh My God I’m So Scared I’m So Scared What’s Going On) Day

4. Crazy Tuesday! (D-Day fell on a Tuesday)

5. Taco Tuesday (Where Taco means “The Allies are Comin Over”)
